a photographer drawn to those quiet little moments most people miss.

My love for photography kicked off back in the late ’80s on the Cape Flats, where my dad’s film camera was a rare guest at Christmas and birthdays. With film so expensive, one roll had to last the whole year. . . talk about making every click count! Those photos were pure gold. In 1996, I bought my own camera (from my very first 13^th cheque), a Minolta point-and-shoot. Suddenly I was the proud director of my very own nature documentary.

Fast Forward to 2010, with my kids at school and office life behind me, I picked up my first DSLR, Nikon D80, which was later upgraded to a Nikon D4, I started exploring the magic of everyday life from dewdrops and rain-kissed leaves to hidden bugs in the garden.

Since moving to the Overberg in 2017, surrounded by mountains, sea and birdlife, I’ve found endless inspiration in nature, a daily reminder of God’s hand in creation.

Today, photography continues to teach me patience and presence.  While nature remains my first love, I also shoot events like birthdays, matric dances and corporate functions, capturing memories that matter. 

I keep edits to a minimal; what you see is what I saw! I’m excited for what’s ahead as I start shooting with my new Nikon Z9 mirrorless. Stay Tuned. . .
